Student Code of Conduct

Examination

  1. The school conducts three major examinations in one Academic year in addition to one mid term and regular monthly tests.
  2. After each examinations, the progress report card is send to the parents/guardians, if monthly fees is cleared.
  3. Exam time and course of study is sent to the parents on each terminal. Parents are requested to guide their children in their learning according to the nature of exam and see that whether they are regular in school.
  4. The failure of attending the school during examinations is equivalent to fail except on medical grounds.

Promotion Criteria

The final decision for the retention/promotion on one or all of the following conditions:

  1. If the student has failed two subjects of the year.
  2. How consistently the students follow strategies and recommendations made by the teachers, principal and head teacher.
  3. His/her academic performance the whole year and the other factors such as conduct and behavior in extra-curricular events are also taken in account.

Note: It is compulsory for all students to equally participatre in all school activities Failing to do so is marked as absent and actions are taken against it. Failing to appear in examination, retest will be taken, whatever be the reason for absence.

Library Rules

Library is not financially strong, magazines and reference books are available. All magazines and reference books used while in library must be put back into the proper place after reading.

Computer Center Rules

  1. The computer center is a place for the concerned learning and serious works. Therefore observe silence.
  2. Computer is very allergic to dust and dirt therefore remove shoes before entering into the room, wear clean socks and take nothing into the room without permission of the teacher.
  3. Any kind of defect or damage must be reported immediately, so that prompt action may be taken and another machine will be available for next one.

Laboratory Rules

  1. Students should be theoretically well-prepared about the experiment before they come to practical class.
  2. The experiment reports should be filled and shown in the final practical examination at the end of the year.

Financial Regulation

  1. Tuition fees are charged according to the educationsl session, fees for vacation will be charged accordingly.
  2. There will be no reduction of tuition fees during the broken period.
  3. All payments should be made before the 10th of the month.
  4. Examination fees, medical expenses (if needed) will be charged separately.
  5. Students, whose fees are long due, will be debarred from sitting for any examination.

General Regulations

  1. With the turning change made in academic session by the government, this institution has also planned to run in same manner.
  2. The school doesn't permit to wear jewelry and cosmetics, growing and colouring nails for girls and keep long hair for the boys.
  3. Parents are reminded that all complaints and suggestions must be sent in written form.
    Parents should notify the school in written form the absence of students.
  4. Students are strictly forbidden to leave the school premises without the permission of the school authorities.

Expectation from Students

It us understood that when a student enrolls in Vidya Bardan he/she and his/her parents agree to confirm to its procedures to be responsible for their own behavior by being regular and punctual in the attendance; maintaining habits of personal cleanliness; demonstrating respect for adult direction and authority; displaying desirable attitudes and moral standards; making sincere efforts to learn; valuing the opinions of others; accepting the duties of membership in democratic groups; contributing positively to the creation and maintenance of climate that is conductive to learning, understanding that classroom behaviours must consider the right of others students;
Participation in established school houses and their activities; taking responsibility for the care of school supplies, equipment and personal property and co-operating with pupils who have been delegated responsibilities.
      Students are expected to demonstrate effort in completing assignment, home works, participate in classroom activities and perform to their individual level of ability for further increment of livelihood.

For Parents and Guardians

  1. Parents/Guardians are requested to extend their co-operation to the school Management/Authority.
  2. By Urging their wards neatness and cleanliness in school uniform, personal appearance and home works.
  3. By engaging private tutors to their wards only after consulting the school authorities.
  4. By occasionally interviewing the Principal or class teacher to discuss the progress of their wards.
  5. By returning the periodical reports and observation reports duly signed in time, which is to be kept to inform the progress of their wards.
  6. By encouraging the students to participate in extra and co-curricular activities of the school.
  7. By checking the diary and filling the regularity and absenteeism records and also sign where ever needed and see their wards are delighted at their home works and lesson.
